There is a stitch I use instead called double-running stitch - I find it looks flatter and more secure. You guys should check it out.

My tip is to do anything you can not to have to backstitch!LOL

I see the backstitching as a finishing stage and therefore rush through it to get to start my next planned project.

I have always left backstitching for last. I hate doing it! lol I try to look for patterns that have little to none. Terrence Nolans fabrege eggs are the exception to that.

Complete at least one blackwork project.Then doing back stitch on a regular project will seem so easy you wont mind doing it any more!
