I don't mind backstitching as you don't have to think much while you're doing it.But the best designs don't seem to need so much IMHO.

Backstitching has never really bothered me. I love seeing it all come "alive" with just that little...

I also enjoy backstitching, it adds to the detail and is so great when it makes a stitched piece really come to life :)

Hi secure one strand of thread under a approx 5 cross stitches, I also loop my thread around the last cross to anchor it, but only do this once and do not pull too tightly as you will disfigure the cross. When securing pick the stitch closest to where you are going to start back stitching, hope this helps :)
