If I have to backstitch with fractional stitches I leave the stitch without the half of the cross on the line the backstitch will take because then the backstitch is more even.				
			
		i do the exact same thing, so dont worry :)				
			
		I always done it at the end, never thought of doing it as I went. I will try that on my next one.				
			
		I wait till the end to do any backstitching.If there are any beads, I put those on after backstitching.				
			
		I love backstitching because it gives to my project a real neat finish. But I do not usa e real back stitch but another stitch that in Italian is called *punto scritto*.

		I have a love/hate relationship with backstitching. I hate to do it but i love the look of how it finishes off and defines parts of the project. I also change the colour of the thread as sometimes black is not the right colour to outline so change it to a more complimenting colour				
			
		i hate backstitch also. but i think it worth it when we see our cross stitch become alive in the end
