I honestly prefer the "regular" way b/c Ive been crocheting for 43 years.The X resembles inside out.But, to each his own.

I do yarn under for amigurumi. It makes the stitches less stretchy and tighter. Because its tighter, I dont have to stress my hands as much to make it tight to stop stuffing from coming out.
