how old when you first starting stitching

I was about 12 but I completed one kit then didnt stitch again for about  ten years! I do other crafts too (knitting and sewing) so I usually take long breaks between projects.

I started so many years ago I cant even remember. :curse: I know I learned to do embroidery first, and hated separating all the threads.  I saw something done with all six threads and realized it really was important.:lol
My two sisters also cross stitched, and I am so happy to have two of my older sisters work since she is now deceased.
I give half of my projects away, but treasure all that have been given to me. :$ Some are over 30 years old and still look like new.

My Mom helped me start when I was 8 years old!  Ive loved it ever since!

I was 7 I think, and only started stitching because my mother was. after that, I was on and off as sayyida, until recently.

I was 6 - 9. I started embroidering stamped dish towels. I continued embroidering stamped articles including dish towels, placemats and napkins, and a quilt top. Then in 1976 I discovered counted cross stitch and have been counting ever since.

I was 10 years old. He taught me my Italian teacher in elementary school to pack the Christmas chores for the family! it was love at first sight!
