This gorgeous heirloom piece can be worked in a variety of solid colors and fibers.
A lighter weight yarn is recommended because the afghan works up quite bulky in anything heavier than sport-weight yarn.
Consisting of a variety of stitches, this pattern will keep you interested until the very last row. You can easily add/subtract your foundation row to custom size it.
Designer's note: I find this pattern much easier if you use the chart alongside the written instructions as there are many ch-sp and stitches to skip and a visual can really help pinpoint exactly where that hook should be going especially for the first rotation. I know it’s an intricate stitch but I promise after the first 7 rows it gets MUCH easier and after completing rows 2-13 for the first time you would be amazed how quickly you get in the groove and find yourself referring to the pattern less and less with each wheat cluster you complete.
