I started by making a frame loom from an old stretcher frame.  I looked up on you tube how to do it.  I want to practice on this inexpensive loom with my scrap yarn and then move up to a rigid heddle.  I talked to Christine at GIST: Yarn and Fiber who was very helpful in giving me tips on how to chose my first loom.  They are in the USA.  I was also looking for a weavers forum to talk to other beginners to share experiences.

Here is my latest weaving project.  Our grandson loves Elmo so I made him three Elmo placemats and a couple of cloths for his kitchen.

I've heard rigid heddle looms are good, from a friend who weaves. I really want to try, too
