This is Opaline, she is approximately 80% finished. She is going to have a blue mane and blue tail (might possibly have green in the tail. I am going to embroider eyes on her face. She came out fairly well, Im quite proud of her. I am looking for suggestions on how to make the tail, (and maybe the mane) seeing as Ive never made a project that requires a tail made of strands of yarn. Any suggestions whatsover would be very helpful! Thank you! I hope you like her :)

Maybe if you cut lengths of yarn twice as long to fold in half. Can try loop start method for tail shown here //www.pindiy.com/thread-242170-1-1.html . I am not sure if this will make sense.
