Charge for Patterns

Have you noticed some patterns are being posted for 100 gold coins? I would like to know why these patterns cost so much. I dont mnd the download cost but 100 GCs seems like an awful lot to me. How do you feel about paying 100 GCs and then another 30 to download?

Its up to the poster to choose the cost ... some put patterns up for free, and some charge 50 or more for every file that needs to be downloaded ... personally I just wouldnt purchase a pattern that expensive unless I had to have it and wanted to work it right now. If a pattern is cheap I will buy it on a whim. Im sure those with cheaper patterns earn more coins in the long run. What I dont understand is why the repaint patterns have a download cost off 199, while the rest only cost 30 to download?

yeah, you are right, the cost for pattern and download is excessive but at least its not real money. and 1 time i got a pattern hoping it was a good copy, turned out it was a lousy copy, very hard to read, oh well, like i said, at least its not real money.

I have only ever bought one pattern; it was xsd and I had absolutely no idea what that meant. I have a Mac, and couldnt find anything to open the pattern; I finally got somebody to open it for me and my daughter was thrilled.

All to say, I paid a lot of coins, and ended up paying a lot of $$ to get that pattern for my daughter, but it was because this was the only place on earth that I could find it. I would have to want a pattern really badly to pay that much, and I dont have time to sit here all day thanking people. I need to be level 3 in order to give away gold coins (this is something new, because I have given away a lot of coins), and Ive given up on ever getting there. My coins will just site here.

Yes, the charges per download have gone up, too. It used to cost 20 coins for a download, plus whatever the cost that the uploader set. Its really easy to earn coins, though, so its usually not too bad. What kills me is when the pattern is broken up into multiple pieces, and then you have to pay for each part.
I am in the same boat as others. I joined this site to get a pattern that I just simply could not find anywhere else.
I fell in love with so many other patterns, though, that I have stuck around. I am having fun just wading through everything!
