Im new here!  Its a bit confusing, I get how to earn coins, but not so sure on the points thing!  Im sure Ill figure it out though!  Just wanted to say a big hello and give a wave to you all!

Hi & Welcome to the site.  You just have to look around, youll get it.  For the points.....just comment on others work and go into "tasks" every hour.  You get  points for just opening up the site  When you post patterns you will also get points.  Sending you a little gift to start you off:)
