price of patterns

Where can I see the max. price I can charge on a pattern?

My personal opinion on the price issue is that while members are certainly free to price their patterns as they want, I can refuse to buy them if I think they are overpriced, which I do. Unless a pattern is really something special I dont get it if its priced too much over the norm. To me thats just being greedy. Too bad that there are always some who are willing to pay anyway, as it will only encourage people to go on. But while I agree that pricing every multipart file can be a bad idea, especially since the forum price hike raised all prices to 50 GC, people will be stupid and try to avoid paying by not downloading the one with the price.

Yes the goal of the place is sharing, but as long as no one of the board will decide to put a reasoable limit of proce for a pattern (i am talking abour crochet section)  you will always find girls that are asking for disgusting prices in order to get coins quickly and grow to higher level. And as long as other girls are ready to pay any price, theres no reason things change !! When I first register, an average price for a crochet pattern was around 20 coins and 5 for a free pattern. This is history now, but if members would refuse to pay such foolish prices perhaps thinsgs might change !! But I do not have much hope !!

The place has changes, the solidarity has gone, the share mentality has deseapered to get into "virtual profit" and selfishness. Too bad but so little people seem to care about it !!!

But unfortunately there are probably more members with large quantities of gold coins who can pretty much buy what they like.  People are greedy and becoming greedier - theyre beginning to charge more and more these days.  I believe there should be a cap on the amount people can ask - a reasonable amount - which would stop people for asking for 300 coins for a pattern. Quite frankly Id rather buy the chart myself!  Id never ask for any more than 20-50 coins depending on how big the chart was and how much Id paid for it.

I see that someone mentioned that the site owners are trying to make money off of the downloads, but I dont understand how thats possible if were not actually paying to get the gold coins or points. If they really wanted to make money, theyd make it easier for us to actually buy from them. I keep on searching for a link to a store, but never find any that work. Now that is frustrating!

Please dont be greedy like some others who charge 100+GCs for patterns.  One person charged outrageously and now I see another person doing it.  This is suppose to be a friendly, sharing/learn site.  Whats the purpose of the site if there is so much greed????

I saw a pattern (and Im talking about cross stitch) that came in 8 or 9 files and within every file only 2 (even less) 3 or 4 Mb and I think thats not fair.

Im a newby and I have to save coins to buy patterns, so I ask for a beautiful pattern I up-loaded 150 coins in 2 pdfs, 75 for each pdf. This original pattern you wont find on the internet (yet :D), only the xsd version, but they changed it in 1 rar file and 50 coins (and I get 45 coins :()
If this is what happens with patterns from new members, I dont know if I up-load another rare pattern.

And about the repaint patterns I dont get it why they cost 199 for download. I did get an answer from someone that the patterns are more work to make. Okay, maybe they are, but..............why are the download costs 199 and not the price?
The member who is up-loading the repaint pattern doesnt get that coins, so again the question, why the high dowload price?
By the way, I dont buy that repaint patterns,
1 - because they are to expensive
2 - most of repaint patterns you can find on the internet
