COST Of Patterns

WOW, this is very discourging and not very friendly.  First I saw the high cost of patterns from one person and now I see them from someone else. 300 gold coins for a pattern? I thought this was a friendly and educational site? What is going on?

When I joined this site it's heart was 'a caring and sharing site'. Now, this was not that long ago and then the owners of the site changed it -  not for the better for crafters. but for the better of the owners and profit.
On joining, the patterns cost around 10 coins with a small download charge. There was a lot of chit-chat among crafters.Tthis all changed and it is a site for the owners to make money on copyrighted patterns without paying the copyright part. OK, I subscribed for this when I joined because there were patterns I wanted. But, the owners upped the anti and decided there would be no more chit-chat and prices were put up to 50 coins MINIMUM per pattern. Now the owners allow ANY price you want to put on your pattern. And, they don't want chit-chat. So many of the crafters (and some mods) who were on here when I started have left; this saddens me......
Global consumerism rules the day...... this is not what crafters are about..................

I've seen a few, too.  150 for one divided into one too many parts.  4 mb in each rar file so you pay even MORE for the download...

Which pattern did you want that cost 300?  I charged 25 for one, but all others--when I did--I charge only 20.  They'd be paying 50 gold that way which is plenty in my opinion.  I've seen posts on here that I found for free on Russian sites, and they were charging over 100 gold for them here.  Greedy.  I earned over a 1000 gold today, and I did it with free or cheap patterns.

Though, if I had a lot more, I probably wouldn't  care about price, and some people know that.  They take advantage of it.

So that would make the total for that pattern 400? I will have to earn much more gold before I get that one. Thanks for explaining, would hate to spend all my gold on one pattern.

I think the price is ridiculous  , cannot get on very often to get gold , craziness and honestly lately not worth it ...too hard to get why bother ?

If a pattern is broken into many parts is there a cost for each part ? I want a pattern but it is broken into 5 small parts, each says cost 50 coins beside of it.

Thank you for that tip about the free patterns, I was wondering why some said free but they were charging for them
