how long have you been a crocheter?

I have been crocheting since i was around 10 when my mom taught me .
about 20 years ago i made my parents a king size blanket , my mom has passd on
and now my 25 yea old son has it on his bed . that makes me happy .
and you wouldnt believe how soft it is after having been washed so many times .
anyway , havent made anything in years , ready to start back up . this site looks
intereting.

Sorry for your loss, Ive only just started but i have no issues yet. My last big issue was my amigurumi were inside out. Patterns assume you know that part ahead of time.

I started crocheting in my teens and have done so for over 65 years.  I make a variety of items, from afghans to hat and amigurumi.  The picture I use as an avator is an outfit I designed myself and crocheted the hat and the applique on the blouse.  The skirt is sewed as is the bow on the hat.  I made several of these for granddaughters, great-granddaughters and great-nieces.  Also make snow outfits and Minion outfits as well as other things for them.  I have done a lot of Tunisian crochet afghans also.  Made Disney ones for my grandchildren.  My own children had Raggedy Ann and Andy ones.

I cant wait to have grandchildren so I can make them homemade blankies.
Im going to start a blanket for the chemo office my mom went to . they do have afghans there  , it would just make me happy to contribute.

Thanks.  I love making things for others, especially the 18" doll clothes.  I make around 300 hats a year for a local organization to give out at Christmas time.  You guessed I live where there is real snow in the winter.
