Theres definitely no rhyme nor reason to some of their changes and a lot of the time they change them back to how they were originally - with no warning of either naturally!!  I think this last increase of actually charging even more for uploading a pattern than previously is not a good move!!  The site is getting more and more GCs from everyone and they seem to be the only ones who are benefitting.  And while were not paying with real money for anything we download on this site people have to spend money on the patterns they upload!  All the patterns Ive uploaded Ive paid good money for and they werent cheap!  I didnt mind that and I set my price at 20 GC but knew lots would download them and Im more than happy to share but during yet another set of changes the site decided to put all the prices up for downloads and so I was suddenly getting 50 GCs for patterns!  I asked for the price to be reduced on a number of occasion and was ignored!  So now Im not uploading anything more!  Ive plenty to share but Im just not inclined do so and  to give more of my potential GCs to the site!!

I understand you pay real money for the patterns but many others cant which is why they are here. It is a shame you will upload no more as these people have no control over the site charges but are the ones losing the chance to enjoy them

Well I see your point to but in cross stitching the pattern is usually the cheapest part of the whole project as threads and fabric arent cheap so if they cant afford a pattern theyll not be able to afford the other materials.  There are times you just have to do without something you want and its all part of life!I dont earn the biggest salary and there are times I want something but cant afford it so I either save for it or do without. I might not upload here but Ive gifted plenty of my stash or swapped it.  But Im not prepared to give this site any more than what Ive given ed plenty because theyre taking more and more and the uploader gets less endless!

Really, a little communication from the site to the members wouldnt go amiss.

Even for the repaints, where the site already takes 199 gold coins for the download they take 30% off of the members price. Dont know what happens if you set your price at 1 gold coin (to keep track of your downloaded repaints as there arent many members who rate when they download).

And for spacecadet2015: all prices went up once to 50 gold coins (greedy, I agree ;) ) with a site-update and couldnt be corrected afterwards, but now you can set your prices low again, its only the old items which have a high price.

But I really would like a litte bit more information now and then from the site to us.

As I mentioned on an earlier thread Mallardduck, I wont be uploading anything else to this site unless things change.  The 20 coins I originally asked for my patterns was more than fair and I like the idea of sharing with people who will get a lot of pleasure and enjoyment from them.  But Im just not prepared to have the site get more GCs for my uploads than Im  getting! Its crazy!!
