Anonymity on this forum

Does anyone have any views or experience to share about the anonymity we are supposed to have regarding our sharing of patterns.

Some time ago the site stopped using login names on shares but I find that if you charge for a download your login name is revealed.

Has anyone used the Facebook links yet?  If someone can link your facebook id with your sharing a pattern then you are exposing your identity.  Has anyone experienced any problems with this?

I certainly dont want to share a facebook link if it means I could be prosecuted for sharing a pattern.

Problem has now been fixed.  I shall be very careful next time I see a problem.  No-one has thanked me for bringing this to their attention.

I do not shae links on FB. And there has to be something wrong with the system if you are able to see the pattern sharers ID when you pay for a pattern here with coins.

I just checked it out and YES!!! you can see the uploaders ID. Time for an admin!!

It has to be a glitch. It has happened before and they fixed it. I reported it to an admin. Lets see what happens.

I would never use this site with facebook or the new promotion they have for sharing links to here, to risky.

Turquoise has asked how could the id be revealed.  If you download a pattern that the sharer has charged for you get the payment window which shows the sharers id.  This is bad enough.  But if a fb link is shared it could happen that the sharers id is also revealed. Then the sharer id and fb id are linked.
