Hello everyone!
In my country I only could buy KnitPro.
They are nice and soft.
But I couldnt find a 3 mm set. So, I tried The Mindful Collection of KnitPro.
They are of stainless steel and really sharp.
The memory free cables are really good instead.
I bought a set from KnitPicks (Reflections Set) and really like them. I knit so much faster with metal needles. I did have an issues with one of the cables breaking at the connection point between needle and cord, but they replaced it for me for free. So far, no other issues and I’ve been using them for 6+ months.
I've had a set of the ChiaoGoo interchangeables for years and they work really great. The cable joins don't catch on the yarn at all, which was a problem with the set I had before them, and the cables are nice and flexible.
Issue with the boy needles now is that you cannot find decent size cables for the tips. They come in odd sizes. They were my first set of interchangeable needles too, but I found somebody that I could give them to and they were really happy to have them so I'm glad they went to a home for somebody who could use them.
I use Knitpro Symfonie/Zing and the square wooden ones. I like that there is a large selection of different sizes, lengths and materials and the price point is mid-point imo.
However, since I tend to knit loose and usually need to pick smaller sizes I would probably go for Chiagoo since they have interchangeable tips for sizes below 3.00 mm which Knitpro doesn't.
Ah, interchangeable needles—now there’s a topic close to a knitter’s heart! If I had to pick a favorite, I’d say I’m quite partial to those smooth, lightweight needles that slide like a dream and make your stitches feel like they’re gliding on silk. You know the kind—strong enough to hold your stitches without bending but gentle enough on your hands for those marathon knitting sessions. I also love a good cable that’s flexible but doesn’t twist into a knot the moment you look away! Bonus points if the join between needle and cable is so smooth you barely notice it. They’re like the perfect pair of slippers—comfortable, reliable, and you never want to take them off. What about you? Any favorites or tried-and-true trusty needles in your collection?
