Watermark on Patterns

Hi everyone!  Just wondering..... I bought a pattern today and in the middle of every page, over the instructions and printing, there is the site watermark.  Why cant this be put somewhere else on the page without blocking the instructions?? What is the purpose of putting a watermark on the pattern anyway?

Just wondering if anyone else had this problem.

No I download yesterday two patterns, zipfile and no watermark.

I have seen that before too. I find it very annoying. If they feel the need to have a watermark at least they should put it on the margins of the pages not right in the middle. The purpose is just to show whom ever was the originator of the pattern. I guess so if it shows up somewhere else on the internet they would know it was theirs.

None of the patterns I have downloaded so far have a watermark on them.

No, not that i know of. Is that a watermark from the PinDIY site?
Thats weird, why would they do that on some patterns and not on all?
I would not like that to.

Theres usually a watermark saying pindiy.com on all of the images I upload right in the middle of it. I think it should at least be at the bottom so it doesnt cover the picture.

I bought the maria doll pattern by Ekatarina Smirnova - Maria the Doll - Russian http://www.pindiy.com/forum.php? ... 55608&fromuid=82234 (Source: PinDIY) and the watermarks are so bad that I cannot see the instructions. The pattern is in cursive which makes it even worse! I have the pattern in the bounty area so that I can have an English version..some day, I hope.

they put the watermark on the pages so no one can steal heir patterns without paying for it.
