Why Not Rate?

I dont understand why people on this site are not rating work.  People comment on the points. items posted, but no one gives any ratings. Can someone tell me why? We use to rate everyone and since its not costing us anything why notrate?  This site has changed tremendously.

Hi,
I think maybe some of you are being overly critical here!  Ive been on the site for awhile now and still find lots of things very confusing.  I didnt know about free coins for giving rates.  Ive just always assumed when I rate something that Im using my own coins to do that (which Im fine with).
What this site really needs is a simple "how pindiy works page" that explains lots of these things.  I know that all of the info on how to do things is on the site but its not easy to find or understand.

I give every day my free 70 coins, share my earned coins also, and a gifcards, I noticed it also, but sundrop its the members choise what they do with the coins. I wish I saw more red giftcards, for the new members here. :)

I cant rate things right now - I get an error message about not being able to rate anonymous posts. But I was able to rate them before once I got DIY.1. Its very confusing.

I love rating work, but have been using my rates on freebie patterns, and to keep track of what I have downloaded so that I dont double post.


Now I see I cant rate any patterns. That is strange.

I dont often have time to peruse the diaries as Im often up and  out the door to work, then home to work some more, so I often rate people who share but dont charge a lot of coin.
And when I do have time to see finished work I sometimes forget to rate as everything has to be done in a rush.

Are you talking about in posts showing finished works or the posts of designs/charts? I think a lot of newer people dont pay any attention to it or dont know how. Dont know what level you have to be to start rating? I dont rate designs/charts that people charge really high for, I think of it as they already get "paid" for it. Maybe you starting this topic will help bring attention and remind people to rate. Great topic, thank you :)

Youre all right in thinking that people dont rate enough anymore. I for one usually forget to, but after reading this, Ill make sure to use my coins every day! Thanks for reminding and posting!

I have also wondered this often! I try to use all my daily rates available, it is a little sadening when you take the time to share things but they dont receive a rate :(
