I have that same problem since several days ago, but now looking at this and some other posts I notice that is not my connection or the computer.
I will try to do what you have suggested here to see if something works. For now the only solution I found usefull was open all in new tabs but that one doesnt work to add to collections.

I also noticed this problem when paying, the window does not open. You actually find it in another tab.

Yes, same problem here as well.  I was able to purchase a couple of patterns yesterday morning but last night and today it wont work.  I click the pattern link, click buy, and get a rectangular box that says "Loading" with a spinning arrow that never does anything.  I refreshed the window, cleared cookies, and restarted my computer.  I tried on my ipad as well and it wont work, so it isnt a device problem.  It must be something with the site.
