Never without my Mark 2 Floor Stand :lol
I use this stand for all my big projects like Golden Kite, DOME or HAED.
But for smaller patterns I also use wooden hoops.

I use a floor stand with Q-snaps. Love it because I can use both hands to stitch faster. I've had th ...

I also use Q-Snap. Putting it in the stand asyou have here doesn't it loosen the top clamp and then the fabric? I love my snap because it keeps the fabric so tite and the stitches turn out so neat and uniform.

I use floor and lap stands, but my floor is my favourite. I bought mine from a charity shop years ago and it has been a god send. Can clip rings to it or hook on large frames. I have seen quite a few on ebay of late and they are just not selling. So have a look. You may get yourself an absolute bargain especially if its selling in your area and they want you to pick it up rather than posting. Hope you get one soon.

I use a Lowery floor stand, and my Q-snaps work perfect in it.Big advantage of the Lowery is the small size, it doesn't overwhelm the room its in, but is still sturdy enough to hold my projects. If I used scroll rods and had anything longer than 14 inch rods, then I'd worry about it becoming top heavy.
