When I make hats and such, I always have a join line that you can see. How can I make this not happen? It looks like a diagonal line going down the length of my work. Thank you for your input. :) :)

For invisible seams, use the mattress stitch—work it on the right side, picking up the bars between edge stitches for a clean join that blends perfectly into the fabric. Keep the tension snug but not tight to match the surrounding stitches.
After doing the slip stitch try to pull the yarn as hard as possible to make the slip stitch very small, that will not make it completely invisible but the line will be less visible
