When starting a new project, where do you commence stitching?
In the middle of your piece of fabric.
Top left hand corner of your piece of fabric.
Top right hand corner of your piece of fabric..
Hope this question hasnt been asked before...
Its interesting.. I stitch in hand, no hoops or frames and I always start at the top right hand corner and slowly work my way down to the lower left hand corner. This way I never touch the finished stitches.. Hope this makes sense.. Thanks for responding to my question..
That does make a lot of sense! I tend to find the middle, then count up to the upper left hand corner - I usually stitch without a hoop so I will have to try your method. Thanks!

Wiseowl, this makes alot of sense! I usually start in the centre but actually I love your idea of being able to work without handling the already stitched work. Great idea, thanks!

Mostly in the center. But lately, while doing ornaments, Ive been starting on the bottom left. Ive been able to get more projects out of the fabric doing it this way.
I always grid, washable pen for any design under 12 inches and magic gridline (red plastic re-usable thread ) for larger designs and start either top left (larger designs ) or bottom right (smaller designs ) :)
